Sickness benefit is usually 70% of your daily wage. This is the wage you earned on average per day during the 1-year period. For this, your sv wage is divided by the total number of working days of the months in which you received wages.

In the following situations, your Sickness Benefit is 100% of your daily wage:

  • You become ill before or immediately after your maternity leave due to pregnancy or childbirth. This is a case of WAZO.
  • You are sick because of organ donation.

In these situations, the UWV will continue to guide you and pay your sickness benefits.

Provisional daily wage and final daily wage

Resolu requests your daily wage from the UWV. This is because the UWV has access to your wage history and, for that reason, determines the final amount of your sickness benefit. The information about the daily wage may take a while. You may first receive a provisional daily wage when the first payment of sickness benefit is made. The provisional daily wage is based on your pay slips, provided by your former employer. After receiving the daily wage from the UWV, there will be a retroactive settlement.

Calculation of sickness benefit

The sickness law daily wage is multiplied by the number of workable days in the calendar month. On average, this is 21.75 per month, but it can vary from calendar month to calendar month.

An example: your daily wage is set at €100 gross per day. January 2023 has 22 workable days in the calendar month. The gross sickness benefit including vacation pay is then: €2,200.

In some sectors, there is a supplement. Your case manager can discuss with you whether this is the case.

Payment of sick pay

Resolu's payroll processor calculates the monthly benefit and shares it with your former employer. Your former employer is responsible for timely payment. You will have the benefit in your account between the 2nd and 5th of each calendar month. If not, contact your case manager. The case manager will then contact your former employer.

Counter

At the beginning of your program, you received an email with login information for Loket. Please note that this is not Dossier.nu, in Dossier.nu you will find documents concerning your reintegration.
Be sure to activate the account quickly, or the login code will expire. If you cannot log in and have not logged in before, please contact your case manager. If you have logged in before and do not remember your password, you can reset your password via werknemer.loket.nl.

Ancillary income

You must report paid ancillary income to us. If it is paid employment, provide your pay stubs to your case manager as soon as possible.

This side income will in fact be offset against your benefits. Resolu or the payroll processor will not contact your new employer about the new income.

The premise is that "work pays." You will be cut from your benefits, but not completely. You will keep about €0.30 cents from each extra euro earned on your benefit.

If you perform ZZP activities, you will need to submit taxable profits to us. We recommend that you discuss with your accountant how to submit this to us.

Payroll tax

Wage tax credits are applied to your benefits. If you do not want this, please notify your case manager as soon as possible. Also, if your situation changes, it is a good idea to discuss this with your case manager.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a maximum benefit?
Yes, there is a maximum daily wage. As of 01-07-23, this is €264.57. This daily wage is indexed twice a year. The amount of the sickness benefit is 70% of the maximum daily wage.

What if there is a difference in the preliminary daily wage and the final daily wage?
Until now, our payroll processor has worked with a provisional daily wage, based on the pay slips provided by your former employer. The difference between the preliminary daily wage and the final daily wage will be offset against the next benefit. This means that if you have been underpaid to date, you will be paid the difference extra next time.

What if I disagree with the final daily wage determined by the UWV?
Our salary processor checks the final daily wage determined by the UWV on a number of points. However, neither Resolu nor the payroll processor have any insight into your wage history and it is therefore impossible to make a statement about the amount of your daily wage. We recommend that you contact the UWV about this.

Will I receive a pay stub?

In my CLA it says that I should be paid 100% or 90% during the first 2 years, what about that?
The CLA includes agreements about sickness. In most cases, such agreements cover illness during employment. If your CLA states that it also covers illness after employment, you should contact your case manager. The case manager, in turn, can discuss this with your former employer.

I am no longer making ends meet, now what?
We advise you to review your benefits. You can also contact the UWV and possibly your municipality. There may be certain schemes you can make use of.
