Most employers transfer vacation pay to their employees in May or June in addition to the regular salary. On the pay slip, the employee can find how much vacation pay he or she receives. It is stipulated that vacation pay is at least 8% of the gross annual salary for the previous year.

But how does it work when there are no wages from employment?

Benefit

The following UWV benefits receive vacation pay in May;

WAZO and/or sick pay

With WAZOor Sickness Act benefits, however, this is different:

A WAZO benefit payment is always made through the UWV, but a Sickness Act benefit can thus be transferred either through the UWV or through the ERD Sickness Act the ex-employer. For both of these situations, vacation pay will always be paid directly monthly. The vacation pay is 8% of the gross benefit. Even if the ex-employer is Eigenriskrager for the Sickness Benefits Act, the payment of the Sickness Benefits Act will be calculated and paid in the same way. Thus, there will be no annual vacation pay from the Sickness Act.
