Case Manager Sickness Benefits Act

The Sickness Insurance Case Manager directs the Sickness Benefits Act process on behalf of your former employer. Your case manager will take care of the guidance on behalf of your former employer after you have left the company sick. This guidance lasts up to 104 weeks of absence, after which the process ends and you may be eligible for a WIA benefit. The case manager ensures that the correct steps are taken in the context of the Gatekeeper Improvement Act. The case manager is a permanent contact person for you (although changes may occur) and the first point of contact for both you and your former employer.

You do not have to share medical data with the case manager under the Sickness Insurance Act, but it can help the guidance from the case manager if you share some background information. You are free to decide what you want to share and what you don't. An exception to this is the task delegation case manager. The case manager will mainly discuss with you what is still possible and what is not possible in reintegration. The advice of Resolu's (company) doctor is leading.

The case manager is there for both you and your former employer, in a neutral and independent manner. He or she provides support and information on the basis of expertise and the Gatekeeper Improvement Act. In doing so, the case manager can work together with the UWV and with other professionals such as a (company) doctor, a mediator, an employment expert or a track 2 consultant. Of course, your case manager will act in accordance with privacy legislation.

Task Delegation Case Manager

The task delegation case manager works under the responsibility and supervision of a Resolu company doctor . Under strict conditions, the case manager may ask task delegation about your medical situation and be delegated certain tasks by the company doctor. The company doctor always remains ultimately responsible for the medical assessment. The task delegation case manager is subject to the same professional secrecy as the company doctor. If there is a delegation of tasks, your case manager will inform you accordingly.
