Multiple WIA applications?

'My employee has multiple employers. Does this mean the (former) employee will have to file two or more WIA applications later?'

The answer to this is no, filing the WIA application once is sufficient. The employee can file this WIA application and must indicate in the application that there are multiple employers.

However, the UWV does recommend, in accordance with the Poortwachter Werkwijzer, that if there are several employers, they should seek cooperation with each other. It is up to the employers, employee and case manager to further shape this process. Resolu's case managers have experience in this and know how to approach it.

Shaping cooperation

Several things can play a role in determining how this is shaped. Consider the first day of illness, the position, the size of the employment contract and of course the willingness of employer and employee to cooperate. The advantage of working together can be that any additional interventions are divided proportionally and reintegration on the shop floor is coordinated with each other.

However, the reintegration report of all (former) employers must be submitted to the UWV separately.
