Applying for reassessment

Who can request a reassessment from the UWV? There are 3 options:

• The (former) employee can request a reassessment himself;
• The (former) employer of a (partially) disabled employee;
• The authorized party/insurance company if the (ex-)employer is self-insured for the WGA. If you, as an (ex-)employer, are self-insurer for the WGA, there is a chance that you have outsourced this guidance of your ex-employee to an external party.

If a reassessment has been requested, the employer as well as the employee will receive a confirmation of this from the UWV. Sometimes both the (former) employee and the employer/authorized party may request a reassessment. If you are an employer and you employ someone with a partial WGA benefit, you can therefore also request a reassessment. Also remember that if the WGA benefit was issued less than 5 years ago, chances are that you can also use the no risk policy.
